The children have permission next week NOT to do their regular home learning grid BUT they have a history oral presentation to do some research for.
In your child’s bag today is some information about the oral presentations that will happen in Week 10. Please see photos below.
They will be doing some work at home and some at school
WHAT TO DO AT HOME
- Parents to read Yellow note
- Research the chosen object (before week 9)
- Prepare a visual aid (eg poster, slideshow, model, timeline or anything else)
- Rehearse the speech
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING AT SCHOOL
- writing the speech (during week 9)
- putting it on to cue cards
- learning about what makes a great speech
What do parents need to do?
- Read the bright yellow note and sign and return
- Help your child research their chosen artefact (they can choose anything) and complete the A3 white sheet of paper called the Planning sheet – Return this to school by Monday Week 9 (swimming week) so we can write the speeches at school.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the project as I know it might seem like a lot to take in.
